A Final Introduction

Hi there again for a new day with a new post.

After thinking about what I could type away at today I came up with just a little bit more about what I am interested in.. just as a little more of an introduction to myself. So I may start with a little about the normal stuff, favorite books, films etc then get onto some other (hopefully) interesting facts about me!

No.1 BOOKS - Now you could throw any book at me and I would probably sit down and have a little read of it, although as everyone out there, I do have my favorites. I am currently reading The Mortal Instruments series, on book #3 right now and absolutely loving them. I love these fantasy books which make up whole new worlds and places to travel to in your mind, I would LOVE to have the imagination that authors have to make up these new amazing images that you simply can't forget. For me the love story for the two main characters is so gripping that once I start reading I tell myself 'one more page will do for today' and a chapter later I still can't put the book down. I will read anything with a bot of romance or mystery in it really, but right now The Mortal Instruments is the book for me, I recommend it as a good read!

No.2 FILMS - Films... where do I even start, I watch so many I can't even remember half of them, I will watch absolutely anything to be honest. I am not so keen on scary films, but sometimes they are needed! Linking back to the books I do like to watch the films which started as best selling books, so The Mortal Instruments and The Hunger Games are my favorite films right now! The Hobbit is definitely up there with the best films I have ever seen. Harry Potter, no one should ever go without watching all the HP films, read the books too! How To Train Your Dragon is also one of my favorite films, and Tangled, and Mulan.. WOW there are so many I think I better stop there before I list every film I can possibly think of. I am a MASSIVE Disney fan, pretty much all of my friends are, you can never be too old for Disney.

No.3 MUSIC - I listen to so much music I don't really have any specific type, right now I have Christina Perry//Human on (top song at the moment!) and Ed Sheeran//I See Fire. For me with music, I will listen to anything which I like and then have to buy it and have it on repeat for about a week, then new songs will be discovered and I move on.

Now moving on to a little more about me, in general... I have played hockey now for around 8 years, I play for a local club (Burton Ladies) and I am slowly moving up, I have been asked by my current captain to take over the team next year! YAY, sort of yay... I have no idea what to do and the thought of being in control of a whole hockey team (11-13 ladies) is wonderfully terrifying. Although I have accepted the offer so hopefully should be on the way to become captain starting September this year (WISH ME LUCK).
We managed to win our league last year which meant that we got a photo in the paper (top image) and promoted to a higher league, we didn't win this year BUT we played well and got high in the table, going back this September for a win again!

As well as a hockey player I am quite the baker. I used to own 3 ducks so we collected eggs from them, the perfect egg to use in baking cakes! I prefer to bake cakes, the odd Victoria Sponge and fairy cake! I LOVE to decorate them with icing, they are not the best sometimes but they taste great so no worries! My baking skills and knowledge all came from my Grandma, I spent a lot of my childhood at my grans house so we always used to bake together, I would take a lunch box home each day full of cakes, most of the time I would eat them all myself but I did share sometimes (I never share food.) For those out there who do not back, I strongly recommend you getting out there, getting some butter, eggs, flour and sugar and baking your first cakes! It is fun, tasty and a little messy!

Well I think that will do for now, I hope you enjoyed :) Until next time!

Micky x
